Wellingborough-based Foam Techniques is supplying sealing, insulation and filtration materials to two of the most technically demanding projects in motorsport. These top-secret projects include Formula 1 and a track hypercar.

Danny Draper, Managing Director of Foam Techniques, said: “Foam Techniques partners with engineers at the front end to get our materials tested and approved for specific applications. Products supplied range from high-performance silicones and bespoke filters to specialist packaging for getting critical upgrades to trackside quickly and safely. We never say no; we find a solution.”

High-spec materials

Foam Techniques currently supplies motorsports projects with high-specification materials such as FMK Viton sponge and Bisco high performance silicones, selected for their resistance to high temperatures and aggressive chemicals.

These tiny components work hard. You won’t see them, but inside the carbon fibre, aluminium and titanium structures, Foam Techniques parts are sealing, filtering and protecting the drivetrains and drivers.
