The future is looking good

Scandura has begun an exciting new chapter in its 120 year history by joining Avon Group.

Full autonomous trading business

Scandura will operate as a fully autonomous trading business based at the same premises with all the existing skilled people.

Like Scandura, Avon Group started as a gasket making business over 40 years ago and has grown to become a mulit-faceted, multi-site operation producing a wide range of components for customers in automotive, aerosol production and industrial manufacturing.

Managing Director, Alan Emery said “Joining Avon Group presents Scandura with an exciting opportunity to expand our business whilst, at the same time, further improve the quality and scope of the services we’re able to offer our existing customers. We’re looking forward to being part of an ambitious, forward-looking group with like-minded people.”

Integration of Scandura’s business into Avon Group has already started and the first obvious changes will be to the visual identity which will take-on the Avon Group company style.

Wide materials choice

Scandura has a close working partnership with Interface Performance Materials – one of the world’s leading developers and suppliers of high performance materials for industrial use. With the resources and technical expertise of a global materials supplier, the company offers customers the optimum solution to meet whatever technical challenge we’re faced with.

It also means we’re at the cutting edge of development of new materials that can often offer enhanced performance characteristics. Our partnership with Interface ensures we’re always able to offer reliability of supply and the best performing products.

Impressive capability

When it comes to making gaskets, there’s no-one capable of offering the scope of skills and manufacturing capability of Scandura. With the longest pedigree of any UK gasket maker, the company manufactures some of the largest and most technically demanding gaskets in the business.

With the capability of 100 ton presses with 2 metre wide capacity, Scandura can produce gaskets for some of the largest ‘off highway’ diesel engines in the world, including locomotives.
