Additional investment of over £300k has already been made at Avon TSA to support the anticipated growth of business from one of its largest clients, Nissan UK.
Andrew Francis, Sales Director reports “Nissan is now the largest volume car manufacturer in the UK and their rapid development of new EV models has meant they are looking for new, specialist NVH and insulation products designed specifically for electric vehicles.
We are able to design, manufacture and deliver well-engineered components rapidly to meet their build programmes and are seeing huge potential growth in this area as a result.”
Electric vehicles (EVs) have a requirement for insulation and NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) solutions because road and body noise isn’t masked by engine noise, and the vehicles are generally heavier than their fuel equivalents. As long-time suppliers to UK and European automotive OEMs and Tier 1 companies, Avon TSA has significant expertise in solving problems, and designing and manufacturing components.
